I was completely disappointed when I arrived only to find it was more of a money milking scheme then actually sharing the history and full of empty hangers.... And you have to pay extra to go into the big plane because it's a special tour.My friends and I were gutted and will not be returning or recommending the museum to anyone. On the other hand I highly recommend visiting the stockman Hall of fame on the opposite side of the road.
Was worth the drive. Qantas has given us the opportunity to fly safe to our loved ones. Salute!
a must for any person going through longreach. not only aircraft but good photos and details of the outback. very well set out. great displays. something for everyone. staff are very friendly and helpful.
Wow this place is awesome! We spent 2 days here and got a very unique insight I to Australia's place in aviation history. The quality of the displays here are world class.
well worth visiting - see where it all started. one word of advice - beware the stop sign on the railway line leading to the museum, the police actively wait to catch tourists crossing the railway line (like every other driver in australia) without stopping. its a tax trap to turn tourists off the town so don't let them ruin your holiday.
